The Journal for Social Science Studies (JSSS) is an open-access scholarly journal managed and published by DIVINE KNOWLEDGE INSTITUTE. The journal operates independently and does not receive financial support from universities or government grants.
JSSS is committed to providing immediate, unrestricted, and equitable access to published research. All articles are freely accessible to readers without subscription, pay-per-view, or article access charges.
To support the journal's editorial, peer-review, production, formatting, publishing, online hosting, archiving, and administrative operations, Article Processing Charges (APCs) and Publication Charges apply to manuscripts accepted for publication.
JSSS does not charge any manuscript submission fee. Publication-related charges are applicable only after a manuscript has successfully completed the editorial and peer-review process and has received a formal acceptance decision.

Following formal acceptance, the corresponding author will receive an official invoice and detailed payment instructions from the journal.
Payment of publication charges does not influence editorial decisions. All manuscripts are assessed independently according to the journal's editorial policies and peer-review procedures.
The Journal for Social Science Studies (JSSS) is committed to transparency, fairness, and consistency in the administration of author fees. This Refund Policy specifies the circumstances under which publication-related charges may or may not be refundable.
Withdrawal Before Peer Review
If an author withdraws a manuscript before the peer-review process has commenced, any applicable payment may be eligible for a full refund, subject to verification by the editorial office.
Significant Publication Delays
In exceptional circumstances, an author may be considered for a partial refund of up to 50% where substantial and demonstrable delays are attributable to the journal and significantly exceed the journal's stated processing or publication timeframe.
Each request will be reviewed individually by the editorial office.
Editorial or Peer-Review Rejection
Charges paid for editorial handling or peer-review are non-refundable if a manuscript is rejected following editorial assessment or peer review, as the journal incurs costs during the manuscript processing and evaluation stages.
Withdrawal After Peer Review
Payments are generally non-refundable when an author withdraws a manuscript after the peer-review process has commenced.
Additional Services
Fees paid for optional services, including expedited processing, language editing, proofreading, formatting, or other author-requested services, are non-refundable once the service has been initiated or completed.
Authors seeking a refund should submit a written request to the JSSS Editorial Office, clearly stating:
Manuscript title and/or reference number
Corresponding author's name
Date and amount of payment
Reason for the refund request
Relevant supporting documentation, where applicable
The editorial office will review each request on a case-by-case basis and communicate its decision within a reasonable administrative timeframe.
Where a refund is approved, it will normally be issued through the same payment method used for the original transaction, subject to applicable banking or payment-processing requirements.
JSSS reserves the right to review and determine refund eligibility based on the circumstances of each case. The publication charge policy is applied consistently and transparently to all authors, regardless of nationality or institutional affiliation.
